Tony Willis Sifu is the Chief Instructor at 5 Elements Martial Arts. Tony has been training in the martial arts for over 30 years and in Chow Gar for about 20 years under the direct instruction of Master Paul Whitrod who is recognised as the UK representative by Grand Master. Tony gained his instructors qualification in Chow Gar in 1999 and is a Master Grade in WKA Kickboxing. He continues to train in Chow Gar and Ba Gua under Master Paul Whitrod, Filipino Martial Arts under Guro Krishna Godhania, and also Kickboxing, and Qi Gong. Tony is a Senior Technical Director and is Head of all Chinese Martial Arts for the BFKKO. He has featured in many of the English and American Martial Arts Magazines and is qualified in Traditional Dit Dar Shaolin medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Tony regularly travels to China to continue to learn Traditional Chinese medicine and Qi Gong and throughout the world to enhance his martial arts skills. He began in the martial arts over 30 years ago initially learning Taekwondo. Tony tried a number of schools over the years and enjoyed training sessions with many instructors. Those that Tony remembers as being particularly impressive were Sensei's Pat O'Keefe and Dev Barrett but due to relocating around the country these lessons had to be cut short. As for seminars Tony particularly remembers enjoying those by Masters He Il Cho and Jeremy Jau. |
